A one-man crime spree was brought to a close Friday afternoon, thanks to a string of Good Samaritans.
Tulsa Police say it started in a church parking lot near 11th and Memorial Friday morning when the man tried to steal a car. A father who'd just dropped his daughter off at the church school saw what the man was up to, so the man started shooting.
The father then saw the man head toward the nursery full of children, so he jumped between the gunman and the school doors. Bart Leber: "I thought, if he's shooting at me and gets into that nursery with the kids, there's no telling. My daughter was in there just like everybody else's was and I hope someone else would jump in if the situation was reversed."
Tulsa Police say 34 year old Walter Brogan stole two more vehicles and ended up in Broken Arrow where again, Good Samaritans chased him down after he broke into two homes.
Police arrested Brogan on a laundry list of charges.
