An Oklahoma soldier is on emergency leave from Iraq and searching for his child. Sergeant Raymond Hendrick returned to Edmond because he really isn't sure where his baby is or if the baby even exists!
Hendrick's ex-girlfriend said she was nine months pregnant when she went missing last month. Edmond Police found her a few hours later, without a newborn and not pregnant. Jennifer Baca later admitted to officers she miscarried the child in December, and disposed of the fetus in a dumpster.
Edmond Police investigated the accusations, but found no evidence to support Baca's claims. Investigators concluded she was never pregnant; something Sgt Hendrick doesn't believe is true. "She had me put my hand on her stomach and I could feel the baby kicking inside of her. Now it feels like everything has been shattered, like a puzzle that can't be put back together."
Edmond Police consider the case closed, saying this is a domestic issue, which needs to be worked out between Sgt Hendrick and his ex-girlfriend.
