Some Sapulpa elementary school students got the chance to witness history Wednesday.
Men and women from 19 countries were sworn in as American citizens at Freedom Elementary School.
These new Americans say Wednesday was special for many reasons. Gordon-John Manche: "I've been in this country for many years, 12 years. This for me is more than just a natural celebration. It's a spiritual celebration because of what America stands for."
Some of the people sworn in Wednesday were originally from Iran, Germany, Vietnam, South Africa and Vietnam.
