OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Gov. Brad Henry appointed Matthew John Kane IV as district judge for the 10th Judicial District in Osage County.
"Matthew Kane will be an excellent district judge," Henry said Thursday. "He possesses the experience, integrity and temperament that are essential to be a truly outstanding jurist."
Kane, who has a law practice in Pawhuska, is a 1987 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He is a former assistant district attorney and currently serves as an administrative law judge for the Department of Human Services.
Kane, 42, and his wife, Cynthia, live in Pawhuska. They have four children.
