TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Work is under way on a new $7-million to $8-million athletic complex at Tulsa's Skelly Stadium.
Bleachers in the north end zone are being removed and the end zone structure is being demolished to make room for the Case Athletic Complex.
The 30,000-square foot complex includes a new locker room, coaches' offices, meeting rooms, academic support center, training room and video production suite, plus a new ticket office and souvenir shop. It's named for philanthropist Mike Case.
Officials say the project is being paid through a gift from Case.
The stadium upgrade comes as Tulsa plans to move from the Western Athletic Conference to Conference USA next season.
