Progress is being made on downtown Tulsa's Main Mall, but it won't be done on time, not for at least another month. Plus, it's going to cost an extra $90,000.

The overrun is because the basement of the Mayo Building is unstable. The city plans to fill in the part of the basement that extends under the sidewalk. Otherwise, the work is almost done.

Workers laid some of the last bricks Monday around a fountain in the middle of the street.

The city of Tulsa expects it all to be done by the end of February.
