LEHIGH, Okla. (AP) _ A 6-year-old boy and his 5-year-old sister are in critical condition in a Dallas hospital after they and three other children were thrown from the bed of a pickup truck in southeastern Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Hunter and Shaylyn Coslow of Coalgate were thrown from the truck when it was hit in the rear by another pickup on State Highway 3 in the Coal County town of Lehigh. Hunter Coslow was also run over by the second truck.
The three other children aged 7, 8 and 9 are hospitalized in good or stable condition.
The five were in the bed of the truck that was stopped to make a turn when it was hit by a pickup driven by 16-year-old Rachel Paterson.
Two adults in the front of the truck are hospitalized in good condition and Paterson was treated and released for leg and head injuries.
