BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Coby Karl scored 19 points and Boise State withstood a 30-8 second-half run in its 72-71 win over Tulsa Thursday night.
Tulsa tied the game at 68 with 1:30 left on a pair of free throws by Guilherme Teichmann, but Eric Lane gave BSU a 70-68 advantage with two free throws and the Broncos held on for the win.
It was the sixth loss in a row for the Golden Hurricane.
Jermaine Blackburn led Boise State (7-6 overall, 1-1 WAC) with 20 points and four assists and Seth Robinson scored a career-high 15 points for the Broncos. James scored 19 points for the Golden Hurricane (2-10, 0-4), Teichmann added 14 and Brian Cardwell had 12.
Boise State took a 44-32 lead at halftime and widened its lead to 48-32 on a pair of free throws by Karl at the beginning of the second half. But then Tulsa went on its 30-8 tear, with Teichmann and James scoring 9 points each to give the Golden Hurricane a 62-56 lead.
