TAFT, Okla. (AP) -- Prison officials were looking for an inmate who was inadvertently released from the Jess Dunn Correctional Center because of confusion with court documents.
On Monday 37-year-old Clint McPherson was convicted last year in Tulsa of aggravated assault and battery. He was given a three-year sentence, with one of those years to be suspended after he served the first two.
A mix-up at the Tulsa County courthouse led officials to think he was to serve only one year, and he was mistakenly released.
McPherson will not be charged with escape or have any misconduct attached to his prison record because of the mix up.
