Bartlesville Police issued an Amber Alert on Saturday afternoon. "The boy is about 4 years old. Was last seen wearing a long-sleeved yellow shirt and plaid pajama bottoms."

Bartlesville Police responded to an assault at a west Bartlesville home at about 2:00a.m. New Year's morning. More than 12 hours later they issued a statewide Amber Alert.

Investigators say 36 year-old Bradley Scruggins took off with his 4 year-old son, Cage whom investigators believe could be in danger.

"Just from statements that he made at the scene. The father made some threats, and took the son, and basically disappeared."

Cage Scruggins just celebrated his 4th birthday but court records indicate his family life has been less-than-happy recently. His mother filed for divorce in September, and has an emergency protective order against Scruggins and Scruggins' mother whose house was the last place Cage and his father were seen.

Investigators say Scruggins assaulted his mother and his estranged wife before disappearing with his son. Department of Corrections records indicate Bradley Scruggins has served time in prison on assault- and drug-related convictions. Records describe Scruggins as an Indian male about 5'9" tall 143 pounds. He has a number of tattoos on his trunk and arms.
