NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Freshman Longar Longar had a career-high 27 points and Terrell Everett and Taj Gray each scored 18 as Oklahoma beat Florida A-and-M 104-to-45.

Forward Kevin Bookout sat out with an injury to his right elbow. But that simply gave more playing time to the freshman Longar, who also had seven rebounds in 32 minutes -- both career-bests.

He made 10 of 13 field goals, was 7-for-8 from the free-throw line and topped off the performance with two rim-rattling two-handed jams in the final few minutes.

It was Oklahoma's highest point total since a 109-50 win against Eastern Illinois on December 18th, 2001.

Oklahoma guard Drew Lavender played with a broken right index finger and scored nine points in 24 minutes.

...Meanwhile, Oklahoma forward Kevin Bookout sat out the Sooners' game against Florida A-and-M with an injury to his right arm.

Bookout started all of the Sooners' previous ten games and averaged 12-point-2 points and 6-point-1 rebounds. His 65 percent shooting mark leads the Big 12.

Oklahoma spokesman Mike Houck says Bookout has an ulnar nerve contusion in his right elbow. He says Bookoutplayed with the injury in the Sooners past two games, but was resting the arm tonight.

Bookout was in uniform on the Sooners' bench and congratulated teammates by slapping hands using his left hand.

Houck says the injury isn't related to a problematic shoulder that hampered Bookout much of last season.
