HOLDENVILLE, Okla. (AP) -- A court hearing is being delayed for a former Hughes County deputy accused of improperly touching teenage boys.
The preliminary conference for Michael Allen Carter scheduled for Tuesday is now set for February 9th.
Carter is charged with lewd molestation, sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The accusations against the 23-year-old Carter involve six teenage boys and date to 2000.
He was arrested November ninth and placed on paid administrative leave. He was fired by Sheriff Houston Yeager on November 17th.
Carter had been a full-time Hughes County deputy since 2002 and was in charge of the department's drug dog.
