LINDSAY, Okla. (AP) _ A 12-year-old Texas boy is killed this morning after a single-vehicle accident on a county road near Lindsay.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Cole Fox of Katy, Texas, died at the scene after the pickup he was riding in crashed near the county line between Grady and Garvin counties at about 10-20 this morning.
The O-H-P says the driver of the truck -- 40-year-old David Fox of Katy -- lost control of the truck on a curve and rolled it two-and-a-half times. The truck landed on its top, and Cole Fox was pinned inside for about 15 minutes before being freed from the wreckage. The patrol says he was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head injuries.
David Fox was treated for an arm injury at Grady Memorial Hospital in Rush Springs and released.
The O-H-P report says both the driver and passenger were wearing their seat belts and that unsafe speed was the cause of the accident.
