Union files grievance over Rockies' termination of Neagle
NEW YORK (AP) _ The baseball players' union is challenging the Colorado Rockies' decision to terminate the contract of Denny Neagle.
The Rockies cut the pitcher loose last week -- after he was cited for soliciting a prostitute in suburban Denver.
Neagle is owed 19 (m) million dollars under a five-year deal reached four years ago.
The team says he violated a personal conduct regulation.
Neagle faces a January 27th court date. He hasn't pitched since July 2003 because elbow and shoulder injuries.
