HUGO, Okla. (AP) _ Students at a school in Hugo are mourning the loss of both a teacher and a student.

Funeral services for Clara Dillard -- a teacher at the Hugo Alternative School -- were held Wednesday. Also Wednesday, a 13-year-old student at the school -- Nick Chambers -- collapsed and died after suffering a seizure.

Hugo Schools Superintendent -J- Dwight Davidson says classes at the school were canceled Thursday because of the emotional burden on students.

Davidson says counselors will be available when classes resume Friday.
