ALTUS, Okla. (AP) _ An anesthesiologist and his girlfriend are free on bond after they allegedly abducted a Texas man, held him at gunpoint and took his shoes and wallet.

Jackson County prosecutors charged Dr. Francisco Jose Sayago, 37, with assault, kidnapping and first-degree robbery in the Thanksgiving Day incident.

Sayago and his girlfriend, Jamie Elizabeth Noland, 25, were arrested Thursday and released Friday on $100,000 bond each.

According to an affidavit, Noel Vincent Crowley, 26, told police he was at a party early Nov. 25 and that Sayago and Noland offered him a ride to his home.

As the three traveled in the four-door pickup truck, Sayago ``brandished a black colored handgun with gold etching on it, and placed it in (Crowley's) side,'' the affidavit said.

Sayago told him he had disrespected his girlfriend and ordered him to remove his shoes and give his wallet to Noland. Sayago then turned onto a dirt and gravel county road northbound, stopped the vehicle and ordered Crowley to go to the front of the vehicle and remove his pants.

After getting out, Crowley ran into the field next to the roadway and hid in the weeds.

He said he then ran barefoot to the nearest house, which happened to be the home of Snyder police officer John Ladd.
