TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Fans who attend Tulsa's home game Saturday against 24th-ranked Texas-El Paso will witness the end of an era.
Tulsa is playing its final football game as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. TU, SMU, Rice and UTep are leaving the WAC to join Conference USA.
During nine years in the WAC, TU compiled a league record of 20-and-50.
Venue didn't seem to make much difference. The Hurricane is 11-and-24 in WAC home games and 9-and-26 in WAC road games.
