Tulsa Police looking for a diamond thief

A man stole a one-carat diamond ring from a Tulsa jewelry store and Tulsa Police say he may be part of a larger group of thieves.

Police say the thief went into the Zales at Promenade Mall Tuesday and asked to see a diamond ring with some slight imperfections. Then he asked to see a higher quality ring in order to compare the two. When the clerk handed him the second ring, the man bolted from the store.

The Zales' security officer tells Tulsa Police, stores in Texas have been targeted in the same manner recently.
