MANNFORD, Okla. (AP) _ An investigation's inder way in Mannford into ``inappropriate material'' on six police department computers.
City Manager Jim Whitlock ordered that the computers be confiscated over the weekend. Whitlock called for the investigation after computer technicians found the material while checking the department's computer security system.
Assistant Police Chief Andy Howard says the security system was breached and information leaked to the streets. The information got back to the city manager, who called in technicians to upgrade the system.
Howard says that while the computers are shared among the department's eight officers for reports, each employee is required to enter a password. He says the investigation should trail back to a specific individual or individuals.
