Nearly 100 Oklahoma Army National Guard soldiers are answering the call to duty. They left Fort Sill for Alabama Tuesday as they prepare for duty in Iraq.
The Headquarters Company, First Battalion, 245TH Aviation wing based in Tulsa will provide a headquarters for units in Iraq. Company "E", of the First Battalion, based in Lexington; will provide air traffic control.
The soldiers will leave for Iraq in December for a one year tour of duty.
