OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An Oklahoma City bookkeeper has pleaded guilty to federal charges that he failed to pay more than $500,000 in taxes he collected from business clients.
Rhett Arterburn operated Reaco Bookkeeping Systems in Oklahoma City and provided employment tax services to numerous small businesses.
He admitted that over a four-year period he collected more than a half million dollars from seven clients and used the money himself rather than paying his clients' federal withholding, Social Security and unemployment taxes.
He faces up to five years in prison, a $10,000 fine and an order to pay restitution.
