DALLAS (AP) _ The hard part appears to be over for second-ranked Oklahoma.
After surviving consecutive road games against Top 25 teams Oklahoma State and Texas A-and-M the Sooners are still unbeaten. They need just one win in the final two regular-season games for their third straight Big 12 South Division title and fourth in five years.
The Sooners can clinch tomorrow in their home finale against 5-and-4 Nebraska. The Cornhuskers and Missouri share the lead in the week North Division with 3-and-3 Big 12 records.
Next week, O-U travels to Baylor, which has never beaten the Sooners.
But an O-U meltdown in the last two games could give the Big 12 South title to sixth-ranked Texas, if the Longhorns win their last two.
The 8-and-1, 5-and-1 Longhorns play at Kansas tomorrow. The Jayhawks are 3-and-6 overall, 1-and-5 in conference play and are the only North team eliminated from title contention.
In other Big 12 games tomorrow, Number 22 Texas A-and-M hosts Texas Tech, Number 25 Oklahoma State hosts Baylor, and Colorado hosts Kansas State. Missouri and Iowa State have the weekend off.
