A little cold weather couldn't keep thousands of Tulsa area residents from heading downtown for the Veteran's Day parade.

Armed with blankets and warm drinks, the young and young at heart, lined the parade route to catch a glimpse of those who’ve worn the nation’s uniform. Tulsa area high school bands provided the music while veteran's waved to the crowd.

Thursday's parade was another way for vets to reflect and march in line one more time. Veteran Ray McCollum of Tulsa: "We really want them to appreciate what we did for them, so they can have their freedom to do this."

Some US Marines, riding in a Humvee, say they have the war in Iraq fresh on their minds.

Even though temperatures dipped into the 40's, thousands of people still showed up to honor Oklahoma’s veterans.
