OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Judges were appointed by Gov. Brad Henry Friday to vacancies in Grady and Caddo counties.
John E. Herndon was appointed an associate district judge in Grady County, and S. Wyatt Hill was named an associate district judge in Caddo County, Henry said.
Herndon, 50, of Anadarko, has been a special judge since 1993. He replaces Judge Oteka Alford, who retired.
Hill, 38, of Fort Cobb, has been an assistant district attorney since 1997. He replaces Judge David Powell, who retired.
Henry selected the two judges from recommendation lists compiled by the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission.
