OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A hearing is set on a challenge in a state Senate race and re-counts are set in two state House races.

In the Senate race, Democrat Randy Bass of Lawton apparently defeated Republican Kenneth Easton by 35 votes. Easton says there were irregularities in absentee voting and by voters who weren't properly registered.

A hearing will be Monday morning at 9 in Comanche County district court.

Republican House candidates John English of Cordell and David Schaffer of Tulsa are both asking for recounts.

Unofficial returns show English lost to Democrat Ryan McMullen of Burns Flat by 163 votes in House District 55. A hearing will be Tuesday on the re-count.

Returns show Schaffer beaten by Democrat Jeannie McDaniel of Tulsa by 180 votes in District 78 and a hearing on that re-count will be November 15th.
