STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ It seems like forever, but Oklahoma State cornerback Darrent Williams has been sidelined with a broken right forearm for about a month.
Now the preseason All-Big 12 pick is ready for a comeback against the Texas Longhorns.
He was injured when he made a fourth-quarter tackle against the Iowa State Cyclones last month.
Cornerbacks coach Joe De-Forest says Williams went through some ups and downs throughout the recovery process.
But he's attended team meetings and maintained his conditioning so he could return as soon as doctors cleared him.
Williams was ranked second in the nation in punt returns -- 27.7 -- when he was hurt.
He says he's confident he can resume his role on special teams.
