A Tulsa County district judge is dismissing hundreds of lawsuits filed following the 1921 Tulsa race riots.

None of the lawsuits were successful and dozens of the cases remained in judicial limbo until the late 19-30s, when they were dismissed for a lack of action.

The judge cited a recent decision by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in dismissing a state court petition to reinstate the lawsuits.

The riot destroyed large sections of Tulsa's black neighborhoods and some accounts put the number dead at about 300.
