OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An emu-based pain-relieving cream called Blue Stuff continues to be sold to the public, although the company that makes the product has been sold.

Company vice president Steve Brown says it is now operating as Blue Spring International.

Blue Spring bought all of Blue Stuff's assets, and the company will continue to sell the same products using the Blue Stuff brand names.

Last month, Blue Stuff said its creditor, I-B-C Bank, would sell its assets on October first.

Brown says customers' orders are being filled.

Blue Stuff was founded in 1998 to sell an emu-based ointment touted for its pain-reduction benefits.

Blue Stuff sales hit nearly 83 (m) million dollars in 2002, but the company's popular infomercial ran afoul of federal regulators for making unsubstantiated claims about the health benefits of the concoction.
