A 77-year-old Mayes County man is behind bars, facing murder charges. Spavinaw Police arrested Virgil Avery[pictured] late Wednesday night.

Officers say Avery got into an argument with his neighbors and when the fight escalated, police say Avery shot Darrell Jumper and John Easter.

Jumper died at the scene, Easter is hospitalized in a Tulsa hospital, and we don't have his condition.
