UNDATED (AP) _ A Democratic group plans to spend more than a million dollars on new television ads in Oklahoma and two other states.

The New Democrat Network ads will highlight lost jobs, budget deficits and health insurance problems under Republican leadership.

The 30-second ads began airing Wednesday in Oklahoma, Colorado and Alaska.

In Oklahoma, Democratic Congressman Brad Carson is in a tight race for the US Senate with Republican and former Congressman Tom Coburn.

The ads don't mention candidates by name because they're financed by unregulated ``soft-money'' contributions.

They use images of a ``help wanted'' sign with the word ``wanted'' crossed out to illustrate what the group calls the worst economy in a generation under GOP leadership.
