WOODWARD, Okla. (AP) -- The deadliest tornado in Oklahoma history will be the subject of a film documentary. Quiet Sight Productions is developing the documentary "On the Trail of a Killer" about the April 9, 1947, tornado that hit Woodward and killed 116 people.
About 20 survivors of the tornado have been interviewed and producers are hoping to talk with at least 80 more.
Photos of the devastation and the only known footage of the tornado will be included in the trailer for the film.
The trailer will be shown at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Plains Indians and Pioneers Museum in Woodward.
