The wife of a former Delaware County Sheriff has been charged with shooting him. Candyce Woodruff faces a charge of shooting with intent to kill.

Lendon Woodruff is hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Delaware County Sheriffâ€™s deputies went to the couple's home for a domestic disturbance call just hours before the shooting.

Lendon Woodruff was sheriff of Delaware County for four years. He was forced to resign three years ago after his arrest for driving under the influence.
