STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Reconstruction work will begin Monday on a major Stillwater road that runs by Oklahoma State University's football stadium.
Stillwater City Manager Dan Galloway says work on Hall of Fame Boulevard will occur in three phases, only one of which has been approved.
It will be a year before the road, which passes immediately north of Boone Pickens Stadium, will be reopened to motorists.
The road has been closed since February 2005, when construction work began on the north side of the stadium.
When construction on the current west end zone section is finished, the stadium will have 60,000 seats.
