ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) -- A Carter County man who won a trial after appealing his sentence for rape was convicted again of the charges.

A jury in Ardmore found Acea Pickens guilty of rape by instrumentation and molestation of a 12-year-old girl.

Pickens had pleaded guilty last year to rape charges and was sentenced by a judge to 16 years in prison. A state appeals court ordered a trial after Pickens appealed saying he didn't know he would have to serve at least 85 percent of the sentence.

The jury couldn't agree on a sentence so a judge will again sentence him.
