OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A thunderstorm rolling through central Oklahoma Sunday forced an early end to the air show at Tinker Air Force Base.

The finale of the show was to be performed by the Navy Blue Angels at 3 p.m., but that was cancelled.

Tinker spokesman Ralph Monson says the storm that hit the base brought rain, high winds and pea-sized hail. Several vending tents were blown over, but damage was limited.

In all, event organizers were more than pleased with weekend turnout for the two-day event, which was free. Monson says more than 100,000 people attended.
