OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- For the second time in three years, Country Chicks Man has been chosen as the Horse of the Meeting at a Remington Park quarter horse racing meet.

Country Chicks Man won twice during the meet. He took the Sooner State Stakes in May and the Grade One $150,000 Remington Park Championship for 3-year-olds and up last Sunday on the meet's final day.

The 6-year-old Oklahoma-bred son of Chicks Beduino is trained and owned by Sparky Mullins of Wagoner. His 12-32 lifetime record includes a 9-11 mark at Remington Park.

His win in the Remington Park Championship gives Country Chicks Man an automatic berth in the $1 million Champion of Champions at Los Alamitos in California in December.

Country Chicks Man finished third in that race last year.

The horse also was named as the meet's top Oklahoma-bred horse and champion older male.
