NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- The head of fund-raising at the University of Oklahoma is free on bond after being charged with misdemeanor domestic abuse. Jean-Paul Audas was arrested at his home late Sunday and released Monday after posting a $1,000 bond.
Court documents say Audas' wife Allyson told police the two were arguing and she slapped him and he punched her in the face and kicked her.
Allyson Audas was treated at Norman Regional Hospital for face and arm injuries and has filed for a victim protective order against Audas.
Jean-Paul Audas has been an OU administrator in student affairs and fund-raising since 1993 and was promoted last September to vice president of university development.
