Family members held an emotional welcome home for a U.S. medic on leave from Iraq. Norman Scroggins was met by his family at Tulsa International Airport on Monday. They had signs in hand, as he stepped off the airplane.
Scroggins says he's looking forward to just relaxing with his family and little boy, who just happens to celebrating something very special.
"That's right. I'm coming back for my son's first birthday. I've been gone for seven months so he's a lot bigger than he was when I left," said Scroggins.
Scroggins says being a medic in Iraq can be very stressful, but the bond that is created between him and those he treats, makes it worth it.
