Jose Reyes' frenetic footwork got the New York Mets' rally going, and Carlos Delgado finished it off.

Moments after Reyes provoked Armando Benitez into his second balk of the 12th inning, Carlos Delgado hit his second homer of the game to lift the Mets to a 5-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night.

``I just tried to put some pressure on him,'' Reyes said, ``and it worked.''

With the ballpark still buzzing after Reyes trotted home with the tying run, Delgado's shot gave the Mets their fourth straight win. The NL East leaders posted their 15th come-from-behind victory.

``We're good at it,'' Delgado said.

Minus Barry Bonds from the starting lineup, the Giants dropped their fourth in a row.

``That's a tough one to lose,'' manager Bruce Bochy said.

In other NL games, it was: Colorado 8, St. Louis 3; Milwaukee 5, Atlanta 4; Arizona 11, Philadelphia 5; Florida 9, Chicago 4; Los Angeles 10, Washington 0; Pittsburgh 4, San Diego 1; and Cincinnati 2, Houston 1.

After Omar Vizquel barely beat Delgado's throw home to put San Francisco ahead 4-3 in the top of the 12th, the Mets rallied.

Reyes drew a leadoff walk from Benitez (0-3) and moved up on a balk. A sacrifice by Endy Chavez moved Reyes to third, and he stayed there when Carlos Beltran grounded out.

Reyes then began dancing down the third-base line. Suddenly, Benitez seemed to break his hands apart and Reyes was waved home by a couple of the umpires.

Joe Smith (2-0) got the win despite giving up the go-ahead run.

Bonds pinch hit in the 10th inning and walked.

Rockies 8, Cardinals 3

Yorvit Torrealba hit a grand slam and Rodrigo Lopez struck out a season-high seven in six innings as host Colorado extended its winning streak to seven games for the first time since Sept. 6-12, 1998.

Lopez (2-0), who was activated from the disabled list before the game, had been out since April 19 with right elbow inflammation.

Braden Looper (6-4) walked the bases loaded in the fourth inning before Torrealba hit his third career grand slam. Brad Hawpe hit a two-run homer in the seventh off Cardinals reliever Tyler Johnson.

Jim Edmonds and Scott Rolen hit solo homers for St. Louis.

Brewers 5, Braves 4

Ben Sheets brushed off a poor first inning to get the win and Prince Fielder hit his NL-leading 17th homer to help host Milwaukee snap a six-game losing streak.

Atlanta starter John Smoltz left after giving up three runs and eight hits in 3 1-3 innings. He hurt his shoulder while warming up for the inning and re-injured his right pinkie finger in his previous at-bat. The Braves said he was removed as a precaution.

J.J. Hardy singled in the go-ahead run off reliever Peter Moylan (1-1) in the sixth for his 44th RBI.

Sheets (5-3) gave up three runs in the first, but didn't allow another run, scattering 11 hits in six innings. Francisco Cordero converted his 18th consecutive save chance, striking out two with runners on first and third to end it.

Diamondbacks 11, Phillies 5

Orlando Hudson had four hits and drove in four runs, Micah Owings (4-1) pitched five effective innings, and visiting Arizona extended its winning streak to six.

Arizona got five runs off starter Jon Lieber (2-3) in the second inning and five unearned runs off Geoff Geary in the eighth.

Phillies slugger Ryan Howard left in the ninth inning after it appeared he injured his left leg diving for a grounder, but it was just a cramp.

Marlins 9, Cubs 4

Jeremy Hermida hit a tiebreaking three-run homer in the fifth inning and Josh Willingham added a three-run double in the eighth for visiting Florida.

Dontrelle Willis (7-3) worked seven innings for the Marlins, allowing four runs and seven hits.

Jason Marquis (5-2) allowed five runs and eight hits in five innings to get his first loss since April 10. He had won five straight decisions. Derrek Lee hit a solo homer and pinch-hitter Ryan Theriot added a two-run drive in the seventh for the Cubs, who have lost seven of nine.

Dodgers 10, Nationals 0

Brad Penny gave up four singles over 6 1-3 innings and Juan Pierre had a career-high four extra-base hits for visiting Los Angeles.

Penny (7-1) struck out four and walked one, combining with two relievers on the Dodgers' third shutout of the season. Luis Gonzalez hit a three-run homer for Los Angeles, which has won five of six.

Jason Simontacchi (2-3) went a season-high 6 1-3 innings, allowing six runs and 11 hits. Washington, coming off a 5-2 road trip, lost for the third time in four home games.

Pirates 4, Padres 1

Tom Gorzelanny scattered seven hits over seven innings for host Pittsburgh, which won for the fourth time in five games.

Gorzelanny (6-3), who gave up one run, entered the game third in the NL with a 2.51 ERA. He lowered that to 2.39. Salomon Torres pitched the ninth for his 12th save.

Jason Bay hit his eighth homer and scored two runs for the Pirates, and Adam LaRoche had three hits.

Josh Bard went 3-for-4 for San Diego, which had won three in a row and six of seven. David Wells (2-3) allowed two runs and eight hits in five innings.

Reds 2, Astros 1

Scott Hatteberg hit a solo homer in the eighth and Matt Belisle struck out a career-high eight as visiting Cincinnati handed Houston its ninth consecutive loss.

Belisle (5-4) pitched 7 2-3 innings, allowing two hits after Adam Everett's RBI triple in the second. Adam Dunn had a sacrifice fly for the Reds, who won for the third time in their last 12 road games.

David Weathers got Carlos Lee to ground into a game-ending double play with the bases loaded in the ninth for his 10th save.

Chad Qualls (4-2), who started the seventh and gave up Hatteberg's homer, took the loss.
