NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Taylor Ashby hit one of Texas Tech's four home runs and drove in four runs as the Red Raiders beat Oklahoma 15-5 Sunday to close their season.

Each of Tech's starters had at least one hit, and many of them came in the Red Raiders' eight-run fourth inning and six-run sixth. The game ended after seven innings because of the run rule.

Texas Tech (28-27, 8-18 Big 12) scored eight earned runs off Ryan Mottern (3-4) in the fourth, when Chris Richburg had a two-run single and Matt Smith followed with a two-run double to make it 8-2.

James Leverton's solo shot in the fifth was Tech's first home run of the day, and Ashby, Doug Thennis and Chris Hall added longballs in the sixth.

The Red Raiders will still miss the Big 12 tournament for the second time in the league's 11 years in existence.

Oklahoma scored two of its runs on first-inning balks by Aaron Odom (6-4), and two more on Brandon Moss' first two home runs of the season.

The Sooners (32-23, 11-16) will be seeded seventh in the Big 12 tournament and face No. 2-seeded Missouri in the opening round Wednesday.
