Green Country drivers better buckle up, or pay up. “Click It or Ticket†is the most successful seatbelt enforcement campaign in the country. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and police officers in Tulsa, Claremore, Owasso, Sand Springs and Bixby will be out in full force over the next few weeks, looking for drivers who are not wearing their seatbelt.
"It's the best thing you can do to save lives,†said Captain Pete Norwood with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. “Seven hundred sixty-five fatalities last year in the state of Oklahoma, 57% of those fatalities, not wearing seatbelts, I think that's enough said."
If you're caught not buckled up, it's going to cost you $20.
