TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Tulsa is becoming the 500th city in the nation to formally promise to cut greenhouse gas emissions that lead to global warming. The pledge calls for the city to cut it's carbon dioxide pollution and is based on an international agreement called the Kyoto Protocol. That agreement addresses global warming and has been signed by 166 national governments, but not by the United States.
Tulsa joins Norman as the Oklahoma cities that have signed the agreement.
