CLINTON, Okla. (AP) _ A pilot survives a crash landing Friday in Clinton.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 35-year-old Chad Wright was forced to make an emergency landing Friday in a wheat field just south of Interstate 40 when he experienced fuel-flow problems. The plane flipped one-and-a-half times and Wright was rescued by a passer-by.
He was flown to a hospital in Oklahoma City, where the OHP says he is listed in stable condition with a back injury.
Wright had been dusting crops in a fixed-wing, single-engine 1971 Cessna when he noticed a burning electrical odor. That's when he made the emergency landing.
The patrol says Wright was wearing a helmet and a seat belt.
