There are several things you can do to learn about your property's flood history, or flood potential.
Check The Property’s Flood History
To check your property’s flood history you can review the documents prepared for your home’s closing. Click here to see a Standard Flood Hazard Determination Form, which is part of a property’s closing documents.
You can also ask for a CLUE, Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange Report, from the mortgage or insurance company.
Check The Risk Assessment
To determine your home's flood risk visit FEMA’s website, www.floodsmart.gov.
