BRISTOW, Okla. (AP) -- A Tulsa woman is dead following a three-car crash on the Turner Turnpike near Bristow. The woman's name hasn't been released.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the 71-year-old woman was westbound when she tried to make a U-turn on the turnpike.

Her car was hit by a second car and a third car swerved to avoid the collision and crashed into the center median.

The driver of the second car is hospitalized in serious condition while a passenger was treated and released. No one in the third car was injured.
