MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers erupted for 11 runs over the 5th and 6th innings of a 12-2 rout of St. Louis.
J.J. Hardy tied a career high with 4 hits, drove in 2 runs and scored twice as the Brewers ripped the Cardinals for the second straight night. Tony Graffanino socked a 3-run homer and Geoff Jenkins added a solo homer and 2 RBIs. Jenkins had 4 hits for the Brewers, who've outscored the Redbirds 19-3 in the first two games of the series.
Ben Sheets spotted the Cards a 2-0 lead before improving to 2-2, allowing 6 hits in 6 innings.
Braden Looper had his worst outing of the season, charged with 5 earned runs and 11 hits in 5-plus innings. He's 3-2.
Chris Duncan homered for St. Louis.
