McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- An Ada woman is in custody in Pittsburg County for allegedly taking drugs into a prison and nearly hitting a prison guard while driving away. Stacey Kelley is being held on complaints of taking drugs to a penal institution, aiding and abetting a prisoner and assault with a deadly weapon.

Undersheriff Richard Sexton says the woman took a package with narcotics and other illegal items and dropped them near a prison outbuilding. He says what appears to be cocaine and marijuana was found inside the package.

Sexton says two inmates were at the scene and one was caught while the second got in the car with Kelley as she drove away.

The inmate later returned to the prison and Kelley was arrested by a Pittsburg County Sheriff's deputy near McAlester.
