FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ An Arkansas newspaper says former Arkansas quarterback Mitch Mustain is transferring to Southern California.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette cites an unnamed source as saying Mustain will enroll at USC during the summer semester.
Mustain was the Parade magazine player of the year in 2005 and signed with Arkansas after his high school coach, Gus Malzahn, was named the Razorbacks' offensive coordinator.
Mustain won, then lost, the starting job at Arkansas during his freshman season.
He asked for and was given his release after Malzahn left Arkansas for a job as Tulsa's offensive coordinator after the season.
