YUKON, Okla. (AP) -- Security was increased at Yukon High School Friday after a threatening note was found in a residential area off campus.
Deputy Superintendent Kent Mathers says the note makes reference to the shootings at Virginia Tech this week and said the school would be harmed but contains no specific details.
Mathers says the note is believed to be a prank but school officials asked police to provide additional security at the high school Friday.
Mathers also says rumors of a gun being found at the high school are false.
