WACO, Texas (AP) _ Oklahoma State began play Wednesday morning in first place in the Big 12 women's golf championship under way in Waco, Texas.

The Cowgirls hold a four stroke lead over defending champion Texas A&M going into Wednesday's final round of the 54-hole tournament.

Oklahoma is in sixth place in the tournament and trail OSU by 18 shots.

The Cowgirls have won five of the previous ten Big 12 women's golf titles.
